Image URL to remain static
PlannedI have raised this one previously but can't find my ticket but may have done it elsewhere.
We are having to update all our images across our pages again and after doing this manually we really don't want to have to do it again.Â
What would be great is if we could reference a file path / static URL for an image and have the ability to update the image in the assets repository (without the image URL changing) and therefore needing to update the URL everywhere that is previously existed to the new one.Â
We could then update an image in the assets repository and just publish pages to be confident the image has updated correctly and save a lot of time.Â
Â
To add a bit more context, the reason we are having to do this a second time is that we want to upload the images in a different format so the pages load quicker.Â

Hi there,
Just to add to this request, even if it's all linked.Â
Would it be possible, in the very first step to just be able to change the name of the file? not sure if this would be just the same thing as what Dani just asked above but I have started to re-add every single image in a different format, and if this enhancement can't be done in time, the renaming of the assets ( without changing the image URL) would be a very good thing for us. I would then be able to delete all the duplicates and to rename the image without the _webp at the end (see image for reference)
Hope that makes sense!
Thank you very much
