Rate plan field in offer - made mandatory
Objective: The purpose of this feature request is to make the 'Rate Plan' field a mandatory entry during the offer creation process in Limio. This change aims to prevent oversights where users forget to add a rate plan while creating an offer, ensuring a more streamlined and error-free offer setup.
Details:
Currently, when creating offers in Limio, the 'Rate Plan' field is not tagged, leading to instances where offers are created without a linked rate plan. Â By making this field mandatory, we can significantly reduce the likelihood of such errors.
Proposed Changes:
Mandatory Rate Plan Field:
- Modify the offer creation workflow to make the 'Rate Plan' field a mandatory entry.
- Users should not be able to proceed or save the offer unless a rate plan is selected.
User Interface Update:
- Adjust the user interface to clearly indicate that the 'Rate Plan' field is mandatory.
- Provide a tooltip or help text near the field to guide users on the importance of selecting a rate plan.
Error Handling:
- Implement error messages that prompt users if they attempt to save an offer without a rate plan.
- Ensure that the message is clear and instructive, guiding users to select a rate plan to proceed.
Expected Benefits:
- Reduction in operational delays caused by offers created without rate plans.
- Enhanced accuracy in the offer creation process.
- Improved user experience by providing a guided and error-free workflow.

If this were to be a global change I would still like to be able to save an offer without a rate plan but there would need to be an error message possibly on publish
We have scenarios where we are building offers but the Rate Plans are not yet in Zuora and we're waiting to just add that rate plan.Â
If we had to wait for the Rate Plans to be there first before saving it would cause delays.Â
