Overview
Erasing personal data is useful for GDPR compliance and removing personally identifiable information when no longer needed. This action is irreversible, so ensure you have selected the correct customer before proceeding.
Before you start
To erase personal data in the Limio App, you must have the correct permissions. Ensure that:
- You are a Tenant Admin.
- You have "Can Edit" access to the setting "Customer Subscription & Order Data" in the Limio App.
If you do not have these permissions, contact your administrator for access.
Steps to erase personal data
- Find the Customer:
- Navigate to the Customers section in the Limio App.
- Locate the customer whose data you want to erase.
- In the top right-hand corner, click "Erase Personal Data".
- Fill in all required details:
- An Erase Personal Data modal will appear.
- Enter a Message, this is mandatory for audit purposes.
- Confirm the Customer Request Date using the date picker
- Confirm the action:
- Clicking Next will display a confirmation:
"You are about to obfuscate this customer. These changes cannot be reversed" - You will see the Customer Name and Email for final confirmation.
- Click Submit to complete the erasure.
- Clicking Next will display a confirmation:
Verification Steps:

- Refresh the page.
- The customer's personal data will now be replaced with placeholder values:
- Name:
firstName lastName
- Email:
email
- Name:
- A system event
customer.forgotten
will be generated to confirm the action.
