How to configure Zuora Product Code (SKU) in Limio

Generally, Limio Products will match 1:1 your Zuora products. However, you may have some scenarios where Limio to hold more products for the same Zuora product. This may be because you wish to introduce specific rules for some channels (e.g. Digital - Sold Online or Digital - Sold Offline) or because you wish to make a differentiation in Limio to use specific Limio features (e.g. Digital Gift vs. Digital Regular). This is entirely optional and will depend on which features of Limio you plan on using as well as your own reporting needs.

Mapping your Limio Products to Zuora Products

To start mapping your Limio Product to Zuora Products, follow these steps:

Step 1: If you haven't already done so, create your products in Zuora Product Catalog first.

Step 2: To configure the product codes in Limio, go to Config -> Templates -> Products.

New experience: Using the product cat sync button

As of the Winter Release 2021/22, you can now automatically sync your product catalog between Zuora and Limio, allowing you to automatically load all of your product codes and rate plans into the Limio app. You can skip step 2.

Legacy experience: Manually configuring your product codes

Please note that this has been retired and will not be available if you are on the new experience. Here in the Attribute Definitions, we have the product_code_limio with a picklist set up with different product codes that exist in both Zuora and Limio - here you can remove or add new ones.

When you set up a new product in Zuora and you want to find out what its product code is, go to Zuora -> Products -> Product Catalog. Here you can see All Products and the product code under each product. You can also go on an individual product and look for the SKU field. Copy the product code and add it to the Limio product_code_limio picklist above. 

Save changes.

Step 3: Go back to the Products tab on the left handside in the Limio app and select the product you want to connect with Zuora. The new product code will now be available for selection in the dropdown list. 

Now that we have configured the Zuora product code in Limio, we will proceed to the next step - configuring the Zuora Rate Plan in Limio. 

Note: Product Code, Rate Plan and Payment Type are how Offers and Products in Limio are setup and how they relate to Zuora.
