Limio implemented a flow that allows the clients to create subscriptions that are not activated in Zuora. They will show a status of Pending Activation and they will need a further order action to get active. You can read more about the Zuora feature here: https://knowledgecenter.zuora.com/Billing/Subscriptions/Orders/AA_Overview_of_Orders/Pending_Order_and_Subscription#:~:text=A%20Pending%20Activation%20subscription%20is,your%20Create%20order%20API%20call.
How to use the new feature?
Starting to use this new feature is quite easy and requires a few steps. First, you need to add the following attribute into the offers template:
Second, toggle the "Requires Service Activation" attribute to true in an offer:
Next, in Zuora, inside Billing Settings -> Default Subscription and Order Settings, select YES for Require Service Activation of Orders?
Finally, after the setup is done, we create a new subscription using that offer and we will see a pending activation state:
Activating the subscription
For the moment there is no functionality in Limio to activate the subscription, but Limio will release soon a way of doing it via MMA.
The clients can activate the subscription in Zuora and then sync the subscription in Limio to see the correct status.
